Next Sunday afternoon Celtic should have been at Easter Road to face Hibs, closing in on the home straight towards a ninth successive title.

The Supporters busses won’t be heading along the M8 and the usual pubs won’t be rammed with fans eager to cheer on the hoops among friends.

Two weeks ago the football stopped. The weekend routine ended with weekend number three being the first of lockdown.

Much more important issues than football have taken over as Coronavirus spreads globally, no-one is spared with the virus hitting every area of the Community including football.

On Thursday night at 8pm people throughout the country united to show their support for NHS workers who are in the frontline battle against the virus.

Bringing together that Thursday Night ‘Fever’ and football, tomorrow at 3pm thousands of fans will get kitted out to show support for their team and the NHS at the traditional kick off time #flytheflag.

Fans are being encouraged to wear their colours, fly the flag, share their pictures and videos and most importantly donate to NHS and other related charities.

Celtic has led the way in donating to local charities on the front line, even in difficult times hoops supporters will dig deep to show their support- emotional and financial- to back the dedicated Health workers that we all depend on.
