Celtic have been hit with a €15,000 fine by UEFA for the late kick off of their Europa League tie away to Copenhagen.

Nothing was mentioned at the time of the match but complying with matters for broadcasters is paramount in all UEFA competitions.

Broadcaster timetables are put together to ensure that the teams emerge from the tunnel at the correct time before the TV cameras run along both sets of players with pennants exchanged ahead of the match kicking off.

• Late kick-off – Art. 11 (2) (h) DR • Late kick-off (Neil Lennon) – Art. 11 (2) (h) DR Decision: The Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body has decided:

• To fine Celtic FC €15,000 for being responsible for the late kick-off. • The above fine must be paid within 90 days of communication of this decision.

• To warn Celtic FC coach, Neil Lennon, for being responsible for the late kick-off.

• Celtic FC ensures its coach is personally informed of this decision.

Celtic weren’t slow out of the blocks, creating three good scoring chances in the first 15 minutes before taking the lead through Odsonne Edouard.

Copenhagen hit back after the break to equalise with Fraser Forster pulling off a second half penalty save.

Celtic appeared to have pulled off the perfect first leg scoreline but lost the return leg 2-1 to go out of the competition.
