Chris Jullien has shared some images of his younger self with his growing Instagram following.
The defender used social media extensively in the build up to his summer transfer from Toulouse and has remained in weekly contact with fans- through the highs and occasional low points.
As a young player Jullien was part of the French u-20 squad that won the 2013 World Cup in Turkey with a certain Paul Pogba dominating from the centre of the park. The then Auxerre defender made two appearances in the tournament, watching the final from the bench as France came out on top with a 4-1 penalty shoot out victory over Uruguay following a 0-0 draw after 120 minutes.
Jullien’s career never took off as expected but he did spent three years in the Toulouse side that was regularly mid-table in Ligue 1.
Last summer was a traumatic one for Toulouse as a number of players joined Jullien on the way out with relegation looking like a certainty. When football was suspended they were in bottom place, 10 points adrift of Amiens with just three wins and four draws from 28 matches this season.
