David Edgar stops just short of saying #Gerrardout in emotional podcast

|

David Edgar managed to stop just short of saying it but like every other Ibrox fan he knows that it is time up on the Gerrard Revolution.

The performance of the players at Tynecastle was bad enough but the after-match comments of Steven Gerrard confirmed that the inevitable partying of the ways is only a matter of timing, and the final wording for the official statement.

Wednesday’s night’s European joy turned to full on gloating on Thursday when Celtic crashed out of Europe but under serial loser James Tavernier the fans couldn’t even get in 48 hours of enjoyment.

The defeat followed the same pattern as recent set-backs with the outcome inevitable from early on. Bottom of the SPFL Hearts showed an appetite for the game as Gerrard’s Euro heroes went through the motions.

By the time the final whistle blew the Ibrox inquest was already underway with only Allan McGregor getting pass marks.

Over the next 24 hours Gerrard is expected to comment on his future, if he returns to the club he is only delaying the inevitable before joining Warbo, Coisty and Pedro as broken men chewed up by tying to stop Celtic’s domestic domination.
