It seemed like a wizard PR idea but going ‘All In’ lasted barely more than 24 hours for Steven Gerrard.
Reality returned when Colin Moyo scored for Hamilton Accies in the 56th minute and Gerrard’s Europa League heroes were booed off the park at the final whistle.
Despite Celtic facing a tricky fixture at Livingston where they snatched a late draw it was another night of abject misery at Ibrox as the realities of the expensively acquired squad was laid bare.
Alfredo Morelos was restored to the side, teaming up with Flo Kamberi with Ianis Hagi pulling the strings in midfield, fortunately his dad Ghoergie wasn’t watching this week.
Since the winter break in Dubai something has been wrong at Ibrox with Gerrard unable or unwilling to address the issue.
Over the course of the last five days Gerrard has watched his side lose back-to-back matches against the team bottom of the SPFL. That wasn’t the sort of CV he thought he’d be building in his first managerial job.

The backlash has already started, it will only heat up ahead of Sunday’s match at Ross County.
Bayer Lerverkusen and Celtic are the next visitors to Ibrox with close of 50,000 fans growing tired of defeats, excuses and matchday misery.

Steven Gerrard needs to go. So does Morelos. Attitude stinks. Clear to see the pair of them don’t care about our club. Celtic FC are dominating and making us bears look stupid. It’s not on.

Time is up. Never wanted a manager to succeed as much as I did with Gerrard, but dressing room completely lost and there is no recovering from this.
