Jozo Simunovic was back in training with his Celtic team-mates at Lennoxtown today.

The defender missed Sunday’s Scottish Cup tie away to St Johnstone with Neil Lennon mentioning a concern over his on-going knee issue as he previewed tomorrow’s match on Livingston’s plastic pitch.

Simunovic missed four months of the season after undergoing knee surgery at the start of August but has been fairly regular in the Celtic side since the turn of the year.

It seems unlikely that the former Dinamo Zagreb defender will be risked on plastic against Livingston with Saturday’s home clash with St Mirren a more realistic target.

Kris Ajer was pictured in training but picked up a thigh strain during the win over St Johnstone with Neil Lennon able to call on Hatem Abd Elhamed and Jeremie Frimpong as defensive options.

Olivier Ntcham and Moi Elyounoussi are expected to miss tomorrow’s match due to injury.
