Jackie McNamara returns to Insta in rude health

Jackie McNamara has returned to Instagram, posing for a picture with his brothers.

The former Celtic defender suffered a serious health scare last month that saw him rushed to hospital to have surgery to remove blood from his brain.

News of his condition shocked the football world with former team-mates sending their support while others such as Simon Donnelly, Tommy Johnson and Darren Jackson visited him at his bedside.

The 46-year-old has been working as a football consultant in recent years with no obvious concerns about his health.

Fortunately, he has been released from hospital and appears to be well on the way back to full health as his picture illustrated.

Tommy Burns paid Dunfermline £650,000 for the full-back in 1995 with Celtic getting a decade of service with McNamara a key part of the side that Stopped The Ten under Wim Jansen and also Martin O’Neill’s successful squad.

As a consultant he was involved in the transfers of Greg Taylor and Vakoun Bayo and also represents Callum McGregor.
