Michael Stewart has taken Alex Rae to task as the ‘Null and Void’ campaign gets into its stride.
Celtic’s 13 point lead at the top of the SPFL is clearly clouding the issue with Rae stopping at nothing to try and deny the hoops a ninth successive title.
Since the winter break ended Neil Lennon’s side have stretched their lead from two points to 13 with just eight matches left to play.
Although I agree in principle that we should be trying to finish the campaigns before handing out trophies, equally these are unprecedented times and we should stay away from the partisan rhetoric. It doesn’t help anyone during these difficult times. https://t.co/lsa6JrxsDC

Make that 13 lengths.
On current form of the 7 year old gelding I wouldn’t be too presumptuous that it would beat St J. in a two horse race— IGCeltic (@IGCeltic) March 14, 2020
Delighted you agree. Now would you reflect on your original tweet and perhaps focus on the welfare of said “horses” rather than about who is declared a winner or not? That would be truly non partisan. https://t.co/ZDXLIUR4Om

Neil Lennon was bombarded with questions at a media conference with one being what should happen if the season isn’t completed. Rather than go into the Null and Void camp he rightly claimed that Celtic should be declared as champions.
While the EPL and EFL has suspended matches until April 4 it seems that the SFA and SPFL are more realistic with their ‘until further notice’ decision.
Despite the wishes of Rae and others it seems likely that when football does resume the current season will be completed before consideration is given to starting the next campaign.
All across Europe football authorities are suspending football yet in Scotland ??????? we are allowing hundreds of thousands folk to gather this weekend to support there teams.
Containment phase ????Disgraceful !!!
