Moussa Dembele brough a football-less Saturday to life for thousands of Celtic fans today with the publication of one tweet.
During his two years in Scotland the Glasgow Derby seemed to be his favourite fixture with memorable goals and performances at Celtic Park, Hampden and Ibrox.
If he was looking for self-glory there is a vast vault to pick from but today he chose to indulge in a Derby moment that he watched unfold from the main stand.
Two weeks earlier the young French striker had played a full part in an emphatic 4-0 Scottish Cup semi-final win at Hampden but that didn’t dull his enthusiasm as he watched on.
When James Forrest put Celtic 3-0 up on Graeme Murty’s side it sparked incredible celebrations with the second half turning into one long title party.
Mikael Lustig enjoys a celebration as much as any fan and grabbed the moment when he borrowed a Police hat following Forrest’s goal. The legend of PC Lustig was born.
Almost two years later Dembele was reliving that goal and celebration, at some future date he’ll be back in Glasgow with the Swede for future celebrations.
That’s a Glasgow derby classic ! One of the best celebrations I’ve seen ??We should frame that hat or put it in the club’s cabinet next to the League we won that day ????@CelticFC @dembelition https://t.co/pZpiYiTA6n
