Scott Brown has backed Celtic’s support for the lockdown that is now in place across the UK.
Last night the UK and Scottish Governments stepped up their actions to combat the spread of Coronavirus with a new range of measures.
The blunt message was ‘Stay Home Saves Lives’ which has put a halt to all but the most essential journeys with everyone urged to remain at home.
Anyone that can has to work from home, only essential visits to the shops for food or medicine has been banned with the only concession being one visit to open spaces to exercise but this must be done using social distancing- keeping two metres apart.
While there may still be some reluctance to follow the new rules, which will be supported by the Police when the message comes from a football club and their captain the message carries greater clout.
The new restrictions came in last night and will be reviewed in three weeks’ time.
