A rarely seen image from last September’s Glasgow derby has raised some smiles for Celtic fans.
With Bobby Madden by his side Olivier Ntcham has a straight arm directed towards Scott Arfield during a break in play.
A still picture never tells the full story, the Frenchman could have simply been creating some space away from Arfield but it does have some similarities to the ironic/iconic image of Ryan Kent flooring Scott Brown.
Last March the on-loan Liverpool starlet hit Brown with a full-on punch that saw Brown hit the deck and bounce straight back up without a mark.
Amazingly Bobby Madden missed the punch as did his two assistants and Kevin Clancy who was the fourth official.
That punch was taken to heart by Ibrox fans who overlooked Kent’s contribution to a season of failure as they bought up T-shirts, posters, framed pictures and other momentous of the punch.
After losing 2-0 in the match pictured Steven Gerrard convinced the Ibrox board to agree a £7m fee for Kent on the final day of the transfer window despite signing Jordan Jones, Greg Stewart, Brandon Barker, Sheyi Ojo and Jake Hastie during the summer window.
