No club has won the Scottish Cup more often than Celtic.
Throughout the 146 years of the competition some of the most dramatic moments have involved the hoops with 39 triumphs to their name.
With no live action to cover BBC Scotland have decided to delve into their archives to keep fans amused- coming up with two Celtic defeats to relive over the weekend.
The BBC Scotland site reports:
After starting our series with two Scottish Cup classics last weekend, we’ve got two more coming up for you this week.
On Friday, you can watch extended highlights of the 1981 semi-final replay between Dundee United and Celtic on the BBC Scotland channel and the BBC Sport Scotland website and app from 19:00 BST.
Then, on Sunday, it will be the gripping 2002 final between Celtic and Rangers from 19:15, with accompanying live text commentary.
More will follow over the next few weeks and we’ll let you know as soon as they’re confirmed.
Both matches were five goal thrillers but after replaying the 1991 and 2012 finals last weekend surely the state broadcaster could come up with at least one victory involving the most successful club in the competition.
The 1985 or 1988 finals were classics won against a team, Dundee United, who reached the final of the 1987 UEFA Cup Final with Barcelona beaten along the way.
More recently the 2017 final went to the final minute before Tom Rogic scored a last gasp winner against Aberdeen.
Aside from semis and finals the BBC are sitting on an incredible vault of Scottish football with many classic, rarely viewed matches including Celtic’s 3-2 replay win at Love Street in 1980.
You Tube does offer a fantastic library of past matches but surely having picked four matches to relive during the current suspension of the game BBC Scotland could have come up with at least one Celtic victory.
