Radio Clyde’s Super Scoreboard provided an outlet for anger tonight, going on air just as the SPFL announced that they had been given approval by the member clubs to award the Championship, League One and League Two based on average points per game.
The same formula has been approved for the Premiership, if implemented it will give Celtic the title based on 2.67 points per game with Steven Gerrard’s men managing just 2.31.
Celtic’s ninth title has been an approaching nightmare for Ibrox fans all season. At the turn of the year a two point deficit gave them hope but defeats from Kilmarnock, Hearts and Hamilton has helped Celtic to stretch the gap to 13 points with just eight matches left to play.
First caller on Clyde tonight couldn’t wait to tell his fellow bears to boycott away grounds. Apparently, the blue pound has been propping the Scottish game afloat over the last decade despite being out of the top flight for four seasons, Somehow Motherwell, Kilmarnock, St Johnstone and everyone else survived that period.
Another caller added cup finals and Hampden concerts to his boycott list and so they went on. Towards the end of the show one caller revealed that the Ibrox side should move to England where there is a big demand to see Andy Halliday and James Tavernier back in action.

Tonight’s decision doesn’t immediately apply to the Premiership, it only effects the three lower divisions.
For now Celtic remain 13 points clear at the top of the table, if the eight remaining matches can’t be played the title will be awarded to Celtic.
Wee Billy calling for the bears to boycott concerts at Hampden is superb patter btw

Genuinely best laugh I’ve had in ages listening to #Rangers fans on @ClydeSSB thinking #SPFL vote is all about them – some fucking genius wants to boycott not only all away games but all concerts at Hampden ???

All away supporters to boycott Dundee games,,

Rangers da’s on about a boycott/leaving the league altogether just to spite clubs. The last time you did that lots of clubs won trophies, attendances went up and Aberdeen had a title challenge that lasted about as long as any of yours. Away you go then.

My favourite part of the ‘Mhockery’ rant from Billy was his idea to boycott lower league games. Lest we forget Rangers are a diddy team that remember playing in the fourth tier.
