Frankie Boyle has waded into the SPFL title debate with a tweet dripping in sarcasm.
After a mini lull in hostilities football exploded back onto the agenda yesterday when the SPFL announced their proposal to complete the 2019/20 for the lower divisions.
Averaging out the number of points won per game is about as fair as things get which would allow the SPFL to pay out on the £8m remaining in their prize fund for the season.
It’s almost worth it to see Celtic handed a 9th title in a row in the bitterest possible circumstances

Despite having Managing Director Stewart Robertson on the board of the SPFL the club from Ibrox were first to express their opposition to the plan, making a bizarre suggestion to pay out the money without declaring the current standings as final.
The SPFL will hold off on a decision for the Premiership but if the precedent is set in the lower divisions it will be applied to the top flight if fixtures can’t be completed.

However Celtic clinch a second 9-in-a-row is bound to spark anger from the usual suspects, it remains to be seen of the SPFL has the backbone to see through their own proposal.
