David Tanner has thrown out the suggestion that someone other than the SPFL may have offered Dundee a sweetener.
After getting nowhere in particular in his post-Sky Sports career Tanner has reinvented himself as a personality, a shock-jock eyeing up a career with TalkSPORT.
What Murdoch actually said was that they weren’t offered a sweetener by the #SPFL.
Which throws up a supplementary question: did anyone else offer Dundee a sweetener? https://t.co/iyKrpTZCpp— David Tanner (@DavidTannerTV) April 29, 2020
Rangers’ statement describing the #SPFL as bullying clubs is strong stuff.
Partick Th had complained about a “vote this through to get your cash” message.
Rangers’ criticism of the SPFL legal advisor (Rod McKenzie, who has a long association with Celtic) is a fascinating subtext.— David Tanner (@DavidTannerTV) April 10, 2020
All of Tanner’s controversial views are Ibrox friendly, almost as if he is being teed-up by the most poisonous of message boards.
On April 11, just after Inverness Caley Thistle chief Scot Gardiner appeared on Sportsound, Douglas Park called for the resignations of Neil Doncaster and Rod McKenzie. Apparently Park has evidence from a whistle-blower.
After raising the issue the SPFL announced on Monday that they will host an EGM on May 12, 48 hours after that announcement there is still no sign of any evidence being presented by the Ibrox club.
Stewart Robertson is on the board of the SPFL.
