Dundee are reported to have submitted a YES vote ahead of today’s 5pm SPFL board meeting.

Late on Monday night Keith Jackson reported the same story which failed to materialise but tonight’s news comes from The Courier, the newspaper based in the city.

Earlier today Dundee came up with another statement saying nothing in particular but there appears to have been some movement late this afternoon.

The Courier reports:

Dundee have submitted a ‘yes’ vote to the SPFL’s proposals paving the way for Celtic, Dundee United, Raith Rovers and Cove Rangers to be crowned champions.

Courier Sport understands the Dark Blues told Hampden chiefs of their decision this afternoon and are awaiting a response from league bosses.

Should the SPFL board accept Dundee’s vote, the Championship, League One and League Two seasons will immediately be declared on a points per game basis.

The Premiership will remain on hiatus, but could subsequently be called at the SPFL board’s discretion.

Such a move would allow the SPFL to pay out the remaining prize money owed to clubs in the three lower divisions- from Dundee United down to Brechin City.

No decision will be made on the Premiership as word is awaited from UEFA but the vote in place Celtic’s ninth successive title is a step closer.
