Speculation that Lewis Ferguson could become a Celtic player has split the hoops support.
His DNA would point to a move across the city but in his two years at Aberdeen he has enjoyed more cup finals and semis than he would have experienced under Steven Gerrard.
As ever there is a strong trolling aspect in these stories- the thought of Ferguson scoring at Ibrox as a Celtic player is certainly one to conjure with.
Over the last two seasons the former Hamilton Accies midfielder has developed into one of the most influential players at Aberdeen, taking over in the centre of the park from Graeme Shinnie.
How that translates into the Celtic side requires a massive leap as Olivier Ntcham and Tom Rogic would testify.
Both of those players have scored massive goals in recent seasons for Celtic but when Scott Brown, Callum McGregor and Ryan Christie are available those three have been first picks.
Brown will be 35 in June but for two or three years we’ve been hearing stories about using the skipper sparingly- so far this season he has been as dominant as ever with no sign of his fitness or influence diminishing.
With no transfer business looming there will be no quick answer to the Ferguson question but it would be a brave punter to put money on Dad and Uncle sitting with 800 Celtic fans at Ibrox cheering on their bhoy!

I don’t care who is uncle or his dad played for. If he can do a job for Celtic then I’ll back him. If he thought his grandad and dad gave him it bad after he scored the winner in the semifinal against Rangers imagine he scored the winner at Ibrox to secure 10 for Celtic ?

I canae believe some of the some of the comments saying Celtic should sign this guy and not cos he is related to him royalty but cos the simple fact he is nowhere good enough for us calmac is ten times the player his is so is Ncham and Christie this guy is a 4th rate Aberdeen

Why even make this story when there has been no links or nothing ? The boy looks happy enough where he is, and i wouldnt imagine Celtic are interested just now.
