Super Scoreboard on Radio Clyde produced some classic entries for The Banter Years.
Coming on air minutes after the SPFL announced the decision on the three lower leagues there was a cocktail of anger and pain live on air.
Right from the first caller the tone was set with fans trying to outdo each other in the anger stakes. When the presenter, Gordon Duncan, pushed for some reasoning the replies became more and more bizarre.
Various conspiracies were touched on without the slightest nod towards reality. A month earlier the same angry callers were slating their team for back-to-back defeats from Hearts and Hamilton that ensured another trophy-less season at Ibrox.

As Rangers fans we should vote with our feet. Go to no away games and I would include Hampden. Cup Finals, Semi-Finals, internationals, everything in that.
I’m also a big music fan and I for one won’t be buying any ticket for any event at Hampden again wae this shambles and embarrassment that they’ve caused us.
Super Scoreboard will be back on air at 6pm tonight, it’s unlikely that the anger will have cooled down despite fans having 24 hours to reflect on the near certainty that Celtic are about to win their ninth successive title.
