From 6pm last night the fans anticipated a statement. Instead they got a couple of retweets from Mr Gerrard being interviewed on Sky Sports.
Having never previously mentioned him by name Murdoch MacLennan is apparently the leader of the SPFL. The president of the SPFL is the new ‘bogey man’ at Ibrox over a comment reported by Private Eye more than a decade ago.
This appears to be concrete proof of a grand conspiracy from the heart of the SPFL. Joining MacLennan on the board of the SPFL are Ibrox fanatics Stewart Robertson and Les Gray.
Soon after Scot Gardiner was selectively sharing details of his WhatsApp chats with Radio Scotland Douglas Park emerged with a statement from inside Ibrox.
Thanks to the inside info of a whistle-blower Mr Park is in possession of shocking evidence of the inner workings of the SPFL. Five days later the Lanarkshire businessman has still to produce his evidence.
MacLennan was the target for Mr Gerrard who seems to want a ‘Forensic Investigator’ to audit the SPFL, perhaps the same person can produce the Ibrox interim accounts to 31 December 2019.

Steven Gerrard speaking to @ScotlandSky: “The SPFL looks an absolute mess. The main leader of the SPFL has to show leadership. He needs to allow an independent investigation into the set-up.” https://t.co/aq0y6ebdDI

Steven Gerrard speaking to @ScotlandSky: ”I don’t agree with an internal investigation. You shouldn’t be allowed to mark your own homework. For me, there needs to be an investigator or a forensic investigator and look at everything across the board with the SPFL.”
