Douglas Park has two weeks to provide the evidence from his whistle-blower.

Tonight the SPFL announced that they will host an EGM on May 12 to decide if a further enquiry should be launched into the recent vote to decide the four divisions based on average points per game.

On April 11 Park announced that he had obtained evidence from a whistle-blower and called for the suspensions of Neil Doncaster and Rod McKenzie.

So far Park has resisted publishing any of his evidence  but the spotlight is now on the Lanarkshire businessman to come up with the goods.

Covering the matter BBC Scotland report:

The SPFL board said in a statement they had met on Monday “to consider requisitions by Heart of Midlothian FC, Rangers FC and Stranraer FC calling for an EGM to consider a resolution put forward by them. The board considered the request and has now called an EGM for 11am on Tuesday 12 May,” the statement added.

Before the vote on May 12 the Ibrox club has to meet its April pay-roll commitments.
