Following the publication of an independent investigation into an SPFL vote by Deloitte the club from Ibrox have followed up with a statement.
The evidence of a whistle-blower remains evasive, the demand for the suspensions of Neil Doncaster and Rod McKenzie has been dropped with un-named clubs apparently supportive of a further investigation.
Last Saturday Ann Budge and Dave Cormack said that they approved of an independent investigation but so far Aberdeen and Hearts have failed to follow up that support.
Tonight the Ibrox club stated:
RANGERS, alongside other Scottish football clubs, have submitted a Members’ Requisition to the SPFL.
The requisition requests that a General Meeting of all 42 member clubs be held to consider calling an independent investigation into:
We have received the SPFL’s open letter referring to the narrow scope of their investigation which alarmingly failed to examine wider fundamental issues.
Rangers have made it very clear that we have a dossier of evidence which we will make readily available to an independent investigation.

Over 80% of SPFL clubs approved a motion to decide the four divisions based on average points per game. Dundee United, Raith Rovers and Cove Rangers have been awarded the lower division titles with Celtic in line for the Premiership crown on the same criteria.
