Aleksander Ceferin has admitted that UEFA will ‘have to find a way to declare final results’ as UEFA wrestle with the problems of completing the 2019/20 season.
Ever since hosting a video conference call last Wednesday mixed messages have been coming out of UEFA sparked by the announcement of the Belgian Pro-League that Club Brugge will be declared as their champions.
One report claimed that UEFA wanted all seasons completed by August 3 but that was quickly corrected with Ceferin running around fire-fighting various domestic issues.
St Mirren, Aberdeen and Livingston have all come out in favour of declaring the current SPFL positions as final ahead of tomorrow’s Premiership conference call.
Discussing the specific case in England the Daily Record reports Ceferin saying:
I can’t see a way Liverpool could be left without a title. If ?the Premier League resumes, Liverpool will almost certainly win the title. Theoretically it’s not all over but practically Liverpool are on the verge of it.
If by any chance the play will not resume, we still have to find a way to declare final results, to declare champions.
I can’t imagine a scenario in which the champions wouldn’t be Liverpool. I understand fans will be disappointed if it happens in an empty stadium or even in the league offices, but they’ll get the title one way or another.
It seems that the Null & Void lobby is being increasingly marginalised with no-one outside of Scotland trying to put up a case for that bizarre optioN.

Although SPFL Premiership clubs are hosting a conference call tomorrow it’s unlikely that any vote will be called as they wait on developments from Belgium and UEFA.
