Tom English has finally commented on the allegations made about Scot Gardiner overnight.

While two Daily Record reports have come up with an original story apparently backed up by five named Championship clubs the chief Sports Reporter at BBC Scotland is passing on the message that Inverness Caley Thistle are calling it libellous.

Football clubs are notorious about making legal claims without ever going near a courtroom or even getting a lawyers’ letter to back up their claim.

Gardiner was a guest of Sportsound on Saturday March 11 with English drooling over the information shared from his WhatsApp conversations.

From that moment on there has been no holding back the rugger expert as he demanded an independent investigation at every opportunity even when showing up his own limitations.

At one stage he claimed that there was no difference between an advance and a loan even after SPFL chief Neil Doncaster has explained in detail to his colleague Richard Gordon.

On Sunday he counted in the votes of Brora Rangers and Kelty Hearts for an independent investigation even though neither club is a member of the SPFL.

Last night when Brechin denied an accusation in the Ibrox dossier backed up by nine other clubs English explained that there were two sides to every story. But only when it suits his blinkered agenda.
