The Brazen Head is preparing for a 9-in-a-row makeover.

Since the summer of 2017 the Gorbals pub has been chronicling Celtic’s most recent successes as The Treble evolved into a Double Treble followed by last season’s Treble Treble.

In mid-March the Brazen was forced to pull down the shutters but throughout Lockdown it’s message has been loud and proud for the few commuters passing by.

On Monday the SPFL confirmed that Celtic were the 2019/20 Premiership champions, the second trophy towards another treble although there is no indicators when the Scottish Cup will be completed.

Neil Lennon’s side face Aberdeen in the semi-final with the winners taking on Hearts or Hibs on the final.

During the Treble Treble run Celtic have beaten the Dons four times at Hampden, the most recent being last April with a 3-0 Scottish Cup semi-final win at Hampden.

The 2020 Scottish Cup will be played once the hoops set off in the chase for 10-in-a-row. If that landmark is achieved it will certainly be commemorated at the Brazen as Celtic close in on Al Ahly’s record as the most successful club in the world in terms of domestic trophies with the Egyptian side on 118 titles to their name.

Celtic are now on 110 trophies.
