Graham Spiers has taken Tom English to task on Twitter over the fabled Ibrox dossier.
The chief sports reporter at BBC Scotland has been at the front of the crusade for an independent investigation, showing an enthusiasm that hasn’t been noted since he was backing the Craig Whyte regime at Ibrox.
Ann Budge and Scot Gardiner have been called in to lead the BBC’s backing for an independent investigation into something with English running off like a dog with a bone at the merest hint of some substance.
Yesterday when the dossier finally surfaced the rugger expert at the state broadcaster kept his Twitter comments to one mention of the SPFL reply over ‘not a single shred of evidence’.
On the BBC Scotland podcast he was on firmer ground with only Chris McLaughlin to inject some balance as English, Steven Thompson and Kenny MacIntyre scraped the barrel trying to find anything to support their calls for an investigation.
Today English ventured back into Twitter only to find another media type, Spiers on his case.
It seems that he has learned nothing from his support of Craig Whyte, when the hole gets too big it’s time to stop digging.
