Jonny Hayes has posted what looks like an emotional farewell to the Celtic support.
The Irishman is out of contract at the end of next month with no word of a new deal like Nir Bitton who extended his contract in December.
Hayes has never been a regular but has played a huge part in the successes of 2019/20.
From the lows of breaking a leg to the highs of winning a treble, the last 3 years have been an enjoyable journey, in which I’ve worked under some terrific staff and shared a dressing room with some unbelievable guys!
Football at times brings tough decisions, so I’d like to thank you for all the support received along the way!

At no point in his Celtic career has he been a regular first pick but at Ibrox last September he came off the bench to score a late goal which clinched the match and went a long way to securing the title. In the 2019 Scottish Cup Final win over Hearts, standing in for Kieran Tierney he was Man of the Match for many fans.
In December despite having a dislocated shoulder all strapped up he put in a great shift at left-back as the League Cup Final was won thanks to a goal from Chris Jullien.
