The Scot Gardiner Connection went mainstream overnight as the Daily Record exposed his cunning plan to have the 2019/20 season declared Null and Void.
Five Championship clubs have backed the claim that the Inverness Caley Thistle chief was trying to gain support for Null & Void while the board of the SPFL made the proposal to decide the season based on average points per game.
Gardiner’s first appearance in the saga was on April 11 when he shared selected messages from his WhatsApp chats with Radio Scotland. Minutes after the show ended Douglas Park issued a statement calling for the suspensions of Neil Doncaster and Rod McKenzie.
Strangely after a lengthy spell in the Marketing Department of Spurs, following a similar role at Rangers, Gardiner left the richest league in the world to become Chief Executive of Dundee.
He quickly jumped ship to Hearts but left Tynecastle soon after the club forgot to order seats for their new Main Stand.
Since his appearance on Radio Scotland he hasn’t been heard of other than the occasional tweet.
Inverness have banked their £475,000 prize money for finishing second in the Championship, had their CEO got his way they’d have picked up £300,000 in line with all other Championship clubs.
Perhaps he had his eye on employment elsewhere with Dundee, Hearts and ICT on his CV from the last five years.
Your concernd about focusing on Scot Gardiner
While you as a supposedly neutral BBC employee sole focus is Doncaster— Joetheblow (@Joetheblow1) May 12, 2020

What about Scot Gardiner with his Inverness, Hearts and Rangers hats on?

It’s common practice in Scottish football for administrators, players, managers and board members to act in favour of Rangers AGAINST the interest of the clubs who employ them.
Don’t be surprised if Scot Gardiner is absolved by a convenient case of early-onset dementia. https://t.co/ScXZK3cDWp

Let’s have an independent investigation into the cretinous Scot Gardiner of ICT. Quite why the rest of his board and their fans are not on to this hun yet is beyond me.

Absolutely not.
Hamilton, ICT and Brechin (with verified backing of all League Two clubs) have called out Scot Gardiner as a liar.
The dossier had no evidence of foul play and Rangers* conduct has been disgraceful.
Those making noise have most to lose. It should not be enabled

Secret deals, coercion, self interest, crazy statements. I agree there will forever be suspicions on why Scot Gardiner wanted to financially hinder his club

Scot Gardiner must be an uber Rangers man. To try and take a motion through that would have cost his club @ICTFC several hundred thousand pounds when they badly need it. Wonder what Caley fans and employees think of that???
