Celtic’s overseas players have started to return to Scotland and are likely to undergo a period of quarantine before restarting training at Lennoxtown.
The new SPFL season is scheduled to begin on August 1 but there have been no guidelines from UEFA over qualification for the Champions League.
In recent seasons four qualifying rounds involving eight consecutive midweek matches have been played but with travel restrictions in place that is unlikely to be possible.
