SPFL fight-back as they issue statement demolishing Ibrox paranoia

Murdoch MacLennan has come out fighting with a letter issued to all 42 SPFL clubs in reply to yesterday’s Ibrox dossier.

For almost a month the SPFL chairman has had his competence questioned by a basket case of a club unable to find a NOMAD to exchange shares as they fall foul of city regulations.

Incredibly Ibrox MD Stewart Robertson accused the SPFL of having the worst governance that he has ever known- Robbo sits on the board of the SPFL.

With Scottish football facing an unprecedented crisis the last thing that the SPFL need is a petty campaign from a club that has been over-indulged since 2012.

Yesterday an SPFL statement explained that the dossier didn’t have a single shred of evidence to back up the claims of bullying and coercion. It seems that belatedly the SPFL has discovered a backbone to deal with the attacks they have come under.

On Tuesday Robertson will get a vote on holding an independent investigation into the vote to call the season based on average points per game.

Following the vote anything less than a range of charges for Robertson and Douglas Park on ‘not acting in the best interests of Scottish football’ will allow the distraction to continue.
