Sutton’s brutal message as loanee quits Ibrox and ‘best fans in the world’

Chris Sutton has waved farewell to Sheyi Ojo as another loan starlet fails to live upto the hype that accompanied his arrival at Ibrox.

The winger moved on loan from Liverpool last summer as part of the apparent special relationship between Steven Gerrard and Jurgen Klopp even though the two men only met for the first time during Lockdown.

Last season the 22-year-old made just three appearances on loan to French side Reims, in previous loan spells at Wigan, Wolves and Fulham he had made no impact.

This season he started nine SPFL matches and made 10 substitute appearances scoring just one goal as Celtic cantered to their ninth successive title win.

Earlier this week Andy Halliday, Jason Holt, Wes Foderingham, Jak Alnwick and Jordan Rossiter were released at the end of their contracts. All except Alnwick were signed on long term contracts under Mark Warburton.
