The two faces of Tom English have been exposed with the latest round of club statements.
If Kelty Hearts, Aberdeen or Inverness Caley Thistle issue a statement questioning the integrity of the SPFL they can be assured of the backing of BBC Scotland’s chief sports reporter. Kelty Hearts aren’t even a member of the SPFL.
When Brechin City issued a statement last night that categorically denied a major claim of last week’s Ibrox dossier backed by nine other SPFL member clubs English decided to ignore it.
After someone tweeted part of the statement to him he decided that there were two sides to every story- not a view he took with the statements of three other clubs including Lowland League Kelty Hearts.
This was a significant statement this morning. Aberdeen can’t be accused of having an agenda of any kind. They’re voting in favour of the independent inquiry https://t.co/eWnnXWmNh9

Two sides to every story and Brechin’s version has now been told. Inquiry might shed more light on all of this

Late last night the Daily Record published a report that Inverness Caley Thistle were preparing a Null & Void option in the event that the average points per game proposal was rejected by member clubs.
That would have cost Inverness £175,000 and left all 42 clubs liable to claims from sponsors, broadcasters and season ticket holders for a series of matches that effectively never took place.
Titter. If there’s a way to get it wrong, Tom, you’ll find it. Wake up a smell it before it’s too late. https://t.co/OR7Gp4439L

You are no messenger. You are out of your depth. You have been lied to and you bought it. What we have is a small concert party with an agenda and a failed coup. Stick to sport.

Because even though they don’t have a vote they don’t deserve to be ignored

That’s utterly demented. Ten clubs have spoken up!

Yes, it has
