‘U guys are up early, something going on today?’ Celtic fans react to early official club tweet

Celtic’s twitter account is likely to be at the centre of attention today- with the club coming up with a pre-8am tweet to remember the birthday of Brother Walfrid.

One hundred and eighty years ago the then Andrew Kerins came into the world, almost two centuries later his greatest legacy is awaiting confirmation of another incredible success.

In the sixties and seventies Jock Stein led Celtic to nine consecutive titles when the previous record was six. After a break when Ronny Deila and Brendan Rodgers kept an eye on things Neil Lennon is back in the manager’s chair awaiting word from the SPFL board this morning.

A 10am conference call among the clubs is expected to confirm that the 2019/20 season is over, unlocking £7.5m in prize money and Lockdown celebrations for Celtic fans worldwide.

With no action since the start of March the board of the SPFL were given the backing of over 80% of clubs to call the season based on average points per game.

Celtic have dropped just 10 points over 30 matches to give them a score of 2.67 which by mid-morning today should see the club’s Twitter account very busy celebrating 9-in-a-row, again.
