President Mita has met up with Rudi Vata to share a toast towards 10-in-a-row!
Albania’s finest took to Twitter to share their wishes for next season as Neil Lennon’s squad go for a historic triumph 2,000 miles away.
Back in the early nineties Vata had to defect from Albania to pursue his dream of a career in professional football.
Times have changed in his homeland with Ilir Mita the democratically elected President of Albania and a firm fan of Celtic after meeting up with some fans in town for the Champions League qualifier against Sarajevo last July.

Since that meeting his Twitter account has kept a close watch on Celtic’s fortunes, celebrating the landmark of the season.
In 1979 Celtic played Partizan Tirana in the first round of the European Cup, the next time Celtic are in Albania they are assured of the warmest of welcomes with one politician having to be especially diplomatic with his affections.
