With Celtic expected to officially introduce Adidas next week one fan has put together an imaginative video of the hoops over the last 50 years.
Logos and sponsors come and go but the hoops barely change and are instantly recognisable across the world.
Red tops and blue tops, sometimes a combination or with black or white added can be found playing in every league in the world but only Celtic, Sporting Lisbon and Shamrock Rovers have stuck with green and white hoops down the years.
Eagerly awaiting the new @adidasfootball @CelticFC kit?
Here’s (almost) every home shirt from 1965-2020 that they have to follow on from??#matchworn #playerissue #Hoopsathomehttps://t.co/M0AjxZcll3 pic.twitter.com/8CmberuZvz— Paul Lamb (@paolodilamio) June 27, 2020
Since confirming the Adidas deal on March 13 there has been nothing further mentioned or displayed by Celtic. Until Tuesday New Balance remain the kit supplier with the players likely to emerge on Wednesday with very fresh looking kit at Lennoxtown.
Celtic and Adidas will then go on a massive marketing push, with the current restrictions online ordering and distribution have never been more important.
Expectations are sky high, there has barely been a dissenting voice about switching to Adidas with the next kit certain to be at the top of the pile created in the video above.
