Football has been on hold but the Green Brigade has been active with the Ultra Group taking the Black Lives Matter campaign to Celtic Park.

A banner in support of George Floyd was unfurled at the top of The Celtic Way as they joined the worldwide condemnation of a murder in Minnesota.

Last week the Green Brigade erected alternative name-plates for many famous Glasgow streets which had been named in relation to the Tobacco Merchants that were involved in the slave trade.

Since the video of Floyd was shared across social media there has been a massive backlash, initially in cities across the USA but spreading worldwide.

In London at the weekend there were two days of mass protests and support for Floyd with the most dramatic activities taking place in Bristol.

A statue of Edward Colston, who made his profits from the slave trade, was removed from its plinth then dumped in the harbour as hundreds celebrated.
