Holt responds to speculation over Dykes to Ibrox

Gary Holt has dismissed speculation that Lyndon Dykes is on his way to Ibrox.

At the weekend a few rumours surfaced on social media alongside an image on Instagram of the striker dying his hair a shade of grey/blue.

That was enough for the Gullible to convince themselves that another part of Steven Gerrard’s title-winning jigsaw was falling into place. Others suggested the Australian Kyle Lafferty.

After snapping up a Belgian reserve, a 20-year-old still to make his professional debut and a 32-year-old goalkeeper from the third tier of English football it appears that Gerrard’s war-chest has been emptied.

Discussing speculation about Dykes, Holt told The Sun:

There’s been nothing concrete for Lyndon, or any of our players for that matter. Nobody has been in touch. We’ll have to wait and see what happens but it’s been a case of people putting two and two together and getting five.

Despite putting out feelers to Qatar there is still no interest from anyone in Alfredo Morelos.
