Lewis Ferguson isn’t interested in the speculation linking him with a move to Ibrox.

The midfielder has just picked up the Scottish Football Writers Young Player of the Year award with his Ibrox links regularly highlighted.

Star-maker Craig Mulholland killed off the Murray Park dreams of the Hamilton kid who left his local side to join Aberdeen in 2018.

The Dons signed Ferguson up onto a new contract eight months after joining the club and is committed to Pittodrie until 2024.

Responding to speculation about a ‘dream move’ to Ibrox he told The Sun:

I just saw it the same way as everybody else. When you see stuff like that, you’re obviously doing something right to have clubs looking at you.

That stuff doesn’t knock me off my stride. That’s it done, it’s out my mind. I’m not really aware of anything like that. I don’t read too much into it.

I’ve obviously been shown it on social media and stuff, but I just take it in my stride. My full focus is on getting back to training with Aberdeen and playing next season.

With Ianis Hagi joining Steve Davis, Joe Aribo, Ryan Jack, Glen Kamara and Scotty Arfield the serial losers are overflowing with midfielders to benefit from Steven Gerrard’s coaching ability.
