Odsonne Edouard has committed himself to 10-in-a-row after playing the lead role in securing title number nine.

The striker notched 22 goals from 28 SPFL appearances as Neil Lennon’s side crushed the resistance from Ibrox that threatened to derail the run of success that started back in 2011.

Gary Hooper and Anthony Stokes set the ball rolling for the first title successes with Leigh Griffiths providing a link to the French Connection of Edouard and Moussa Dembele.

Virgil van Dijk and others have come and gone during the period of success- Fraser Forster made the reverse move- against a backdrop of supporters chanting for 10-in-a-row.

Edouard has got three SPFL winners medals in his collection, and at the age of 22 fancies sticking around to see if he can be part of the squad that sets a new benchmark by delivering the magical 10.

The Daily Record reports the striker saying:

Winning 10 in a row is very important for the club, the players and the fans. Of course I would love to be part of it. No one knows what will happen in the future but I want to be a part of it.

My first target right now is to play football again after so much time away from the pitch. I only set personal targets for myself once the season actually starts.

At the moment, I am still under contract with Celtic and my priority is to get back playing again. In the future, we will see what happens.

Edouard returned to training at Lennoxtown on Thursday, throughout Lockdown he stayed on in Scotland rather than jump on a plane back to France.
