Jozo Simunovic has left Celtic fans with two outstanding memories of his career in the hoops.
Just over a year ago, wearing the number five short he headed an emotional 67th minute winner against Kilmarnock as the club mourned the death of Billy McNeill.
Two years earlier there was another memorable moment. A 5-1 win at Ibrox is clearly something to celebrate but among the goals there is one first half incident that will never be forgotten.
It was a 50-50 with Ibrox icon Kenny Miller. There was only one winner with the incident celebrated on social media, key-rings, mugs and t-shirts.
Recalling it in an interview with The Sun, Simunovic said:
The tackle! Yeah, I know I will always be remembered for that too. That became a big thing – all around the world.
The clip of the tackle is on social media all the time but it was a good, clear challenge. It was at Ibrox and I know that it will always be remembered.
We also won 5-1 there that day and it was great. My tackle was fitting – as we completely smashed everything that season!
Fellow defenders Mikael Lustig and Dedryk Boyata were on the scoresheet at Ibrox in one of the outstanding matches from the Invincible season.
Injuries dogged Simunovic throughout his five years at Celtic but there was no lack of commitment as he summed up the attitude of a side that refused to be second best in anything.
