Chris Jullien has no words of encouragement for his fellow defenders on how to blunt the celebrated Paris Saint Germain defence.

Neymar and Kylian Mbappe have already left their mark on previous Celtic sides with the young French striker picking up a World Cup winners medal since the traumatic 2017 Champions League ties.

For two seasons Jullien and his Toulouse team-mates tried to cope with the PSG forward line with the defender admitting that there is no magic formula for keeping then at bay.

Jullien told the Daily Record:

How do you stop these guys? You can’t! Especially Neymar, as he is so versatile. He appears everywhere. He can attack from either side of the pitch and it makes it difficult for midfielders and defenders.

He is so dangerous if he finds some space so we have to close the gaps as much as we can. But it will be difficult. When I played against them with Toulouse the games were pretty close – apart from Neymar’s first game for PSG.

He was something else that day. You could see he wanted to show the city what he can do. He was just better than us by far. I was proud to win a couple of games against them too but even in those games it was far from easy.

After making wholesale substitutions on the hour mark in the two friendlies in Lyon Neil Lennon will be looking to get as most of his first XI through 90 minutes tonight.

No new injury problems have been reported from the first two friendly matches with Tom Rogic taking part in training yesterday.

No further matches have been confirmed before the SPFL opener against Hamilton on August 2 but the club is working to get clearance to play Dundalk at Celtic Park on Saturday.
