Celtic fans lapped it up as Leicester City completed the biggest collapse in the EPL since Liverpool slipped up in the 2013/14 title race.

Six years ago Brendan Rodgers watched his place in Anfield history taken away when his side lost 2-0 at home to Chelsea followed by chucking away a 3-0 lead at Crystal Palace. Looking on as Jurgen Klopp took the glory this season must have been a painful experience for the pint sized boss.

When the EPL resumed in mid-June Leicester enjoyed a 14 point lead over Manchester United, sitting in third place their Champions League place seemed secure.

Unfortunately for the Foxes the insecurities that overwhelm their manager kicked in big time as Leicester hit the quick sand as Chelsea and Manchester United found form.

Turning a 1-0 lead at soon to be relegated Bournemouth into a 4-1 defeat summarised their run in.

In match 37 they found themselves 3-0 down away to Spurs but a win at home to Manchester United would have ensured the return of Champions League football.

At half-time the match was still goal-less but the anxiety and doubts on the Leicester bench spread through the team as they crashed to a 2-0 defeat, losing a penalty followed by a Kasper Schmeichel howler.
