Celtic have arranged a pre-season friendly away to Paris Saint Germain on July 21.

With less than four weeks to go until the opening SPFL Premiership fixture at home to Hearts Neil Lennon’s squad are in need of matches after an extended four month break.

The Celtic squad are believed to be travelling to Loughborough University today to step up their preparations for a potentially historic season.

Two matches in Lyon have been rumoured but have yet to be confirmed but word from France suggests that beIN will he showing a friendly against the French champions.

PSG are in much the same position as Celtic with the French Government calling off all sport with the club from the capital confirmed as champions without the fixtures being completed.

In the summer of 2018 Celtic and PSG concluded the transfer of Odsonne Edouard for £9m after a season long loan. In January 2019 Timo Weah joined Celtic from the French side but that move proved to be less successful.
