Neil Lennon is confident that Greg Taylor will be available for Sunday’s SPFL opener at home to Hamilton Accies.

The defender twice required treatment to a knock high on his left leg before being forced off injured during the first half of Celtic’s 2-0 win over Ross County.

Taylor looked in pain as he received treatment before having to go off in the 43rd minute with Kerr McInroy coming on to play at left-back.

Covering Lennon’s interview with Celtic TV, The Sun reports:

He’s alright. It’s just a trauma. So hopefully he’ll be fit to train this week on either Wednesday or Thursday. It’s strapped up at the minute. It was a little bit sore, but hopefully in a couple of days the swelling will go down and he’ll be okay.

Boli Bolingoli will get the chance to impress tomorrow when Celtic face Hibs tomorrow in the final friendly before the competitive action begins.

Jeremie Frimpong and James Forrest also required treatment during the second half but were able to complete the 90 minutes.

An own goal and a strike from Moi Elyounoussi in the first 15 minutes looked like setting Celtic up for a convincing win but there was no further scoring.
