Jake Hastie is a transfer target for Motherwell- 12 months after quitting Fir Park for Ibrox at the end of his contract.

Across social media the chunky winger was screaming about stopping 10-in-a-row but after brief appearances against St Joseph’s and East Fife he is being lined up for another loan deal following a stint out of sight on loan at Rotherham United.

Hastie was part of Steven Gerrard’s 2019 Recruitment Campaign that also brought Jordan Jones, Greg Stewart, Brandon Barker and Sheyi Ojo to Ibrox.

The 21-year-old made 12 appearances for Motherwell before earning a life changing move to Ibrox but as The Sun reports is expected to return to Fir Park:

MOTHERWELL are confident they can beat off Hearts’ bid to snatch winger Jake Hastie.

Robbie Neilson is keen to seal a loan deal for the Rangers wide player, who spent six months of last season at Rotherham.

But Well believe the fact Hastie, who quit Fir Park for Ibrox last summer, would prefer a return to his first club could be decisive.

Since failing to stop 9-in-a-row Mister Gerrard has added Calvin Bassey and Jon McLaughlin to his squad.
