Ally McCoist is planning a cheeky phone call to Scott Brown to gloat over being voted ahead of the Celtic skipper in the list of the top 100 Scottish players.

Perhaps in return he’ll get a picture of Broony with some of his trophies, since May 2017 the three domestic trophies have been under lock and key at Celtic Park.

After everyone and their dog selected their All Time XI someone has decided to compile a list of the top 100 Scottish footballers.

Covering the chat on TalkSPORT this morning The Sun reports:

McCoist said: “Is wee Broony down at 38th? I will have to give him a call and give him some. Twenty-three places ahead of Broony, that will do for me.”

McCoist was the Rangers manager in 2011 when Celtic set off on their league winning run which stands at 9-in-a-row.

In December 2014 he opted onto gardening leave from Ibrox soon after being drawn against Celtic in the semi-final of the League Cup.

Brown is well used to having his game and career run down, back in May when some critics were questioning Celtic’s Premiership title win he suggested that they pop round to look at his trophies.
