Neil Lennon isn’t considering sending Leigh Griffiths out on loan.
The striker missed Celtic’s three match trip to France but should meet up with his manager later this week.
Lennon didn’t hold back with his criticism of Griffiths, hitting out at almost every aspect of his attitude from coming out of Lockdown unfit to take part on proper pre-season training and his use of Social Media.
From the strength of those comments, on a player that Lennon has previously went out of his way to defend, it would seem highly unlikely that the manager will give the Scotland striker another chance.
Going out on loan could be one solution but tonight The Sun reported Lennon’s response to that suggestion:
I’m not even considering that at the minute. He’s been coming on but we’ll assess him when we get back.
Lennon was speaking after watching Celtic lose 4-0 to Paris Saint Germain in the Parc des Princes.
Odsonne Edouard started the match with Patryk Klimala replacing the Frenchman in the 67th minute.
While Lennon’s options remain limited Griffiths is likely to remain at Celtic but the arrival of a new striker would open the door to Griffiths moving out on loan.
