One deluded Ibrox fan has attempted to explain why Alfredo Morelos is a better striker than Odsonne Edouard.
It is a ‘debate’ much loved by the media, just as they like to lump the two Glasgow clubs together in speculative transfer tales. The facts just don’t add up.
On any level, such as medals and goals there is no competition between the two players, just as important, in terms of discipline the comparison is chalk and cheese.

Both players arrived in Glasgow in the summer of 2017, since joining Celtic Edouard has been a key part of eight trophy wins, in December Morelos picked up a League Cup runners-up medal after a nightmare performance in the 1-0 defeat from Celtic at Hampden.
Clearly short of full fitness Edouard came on at half-time for Lewis Morgan. Within a few minutes Conor Goldston was panicked into fouling the striker, Chris Jullien scored from the free kick while Fraser Forster treated the Ibrox strike ace like a competition winner as he blocked with ease every effort from the former HJK Helsinki starlet.
As well as his regular flow of goals in the Glasgow derby Edouard turned around the 2019 Scottish Cup Final with two goals against Hearts after the Edinburgh side had taken the lead early in the second half.
