Celtic will play Paris Saint Germain on Tuesday July 21 at the Parc des Princes with a 6pm kick off, Celtic Park Time.

There has been a lot of discussion about the match with broadcaster beIN showing the fixture live but until today there has been no official confirmation of the match.

Tonight, the PSG website revealed:

To prepare for these major events, Paris Saint-Germain will conduct three preparation matches: Sunday July 12, at 7 p.m., opposite the Havre Athletic Club (Ligue 2), at Stade Océane; Friday July 17, at 7 p.m., against the Belgian team of Waasland-Beveren , at the Parc des Princes, and finally against the Scots of Celtic Glasgow, Tuesday July 21, at 7 p.m. , again at the Parc des Princes.

Celtic will face Lyon and Nice before they head to the French capital, nursing painful memories of their last visit there in November 2017.

Despite taking the lead with an early goal from Moussa Dembele Celtic crashed to a 7-1 defeat with Neymar running the visiting defence ragged. In truth the scoreline could have been greater.

Like Scotland, Holland and Belgium the French league was called based on average points per game giving PSG their ninth title success.

The Champions League remain elusive to PSG and their wealthy backers who’ll again be investing heavily to get their hands on the trophy that Celtic won in 1967.
