Premier Sports will have exclusive UK and Irish coverage of Celtic’s pre season friendlies against Nice and Lyon.

The newcomer on the scene has had live rights to the Scottish Cup over the last two seasons and will add on the Betfred Cup during season 2020/21. In recent seasons they have shown Celtic’s Champions League and Europa League Play Off matches which are outwith the collective broadcasting deal with BT Sport.

Celtic travel to France next week with the match against Nice the first time in four months that Neil Lennon’s side will be in action.

The Celtic website reports:

Celtic’s games against Nice and Olympique Lyonnais will be available live to Celtic TV subscribers outside the UK and Ireland. All tournament matches will be broadcast live within the UK and Ireland on Premier Sports.

Then on Tuesday, July 21, Celtic head to the French capital to take on Paris Saint-Germain in the Parc des Princes (KO: 6pm Celtic Park time).


At the moment Celtic have a 30 strong squad at Loughborough University preparing for the new season which kicks off on August 2 with a visit from Hamilton Accies.

Earlier today the SFA confirmed that they had been given permission from the Scottish Government to restart matches with Premiership clubs now able to play friendly matches at their training ground of match stadium.
