Brendan Rodgers was under attack from Leicester City fans after their 4-1 defeat at Bournemouth.
The result left the Foxes in fourth place in the EPL but a win for Manchester United at home to Southampton tonight will push them into fifth spot and waiting on word from CAS to hold on to a Champions League place.
After pushing close to Liverpool in the first part of the season 2020 has seen a spectacular collapse with just three EPL wins since January 11.
Last night Jamie Vardy put Leicester in front during the first half but relegation haunted Bournemouth suddenly found their goal touch with Dominic Solanke scoring twice to keep alive their hopes of avoiding relegation.
Rodgers must now try to lift his side for the last three matches of the season- at home to Sheffield United, away to Spurs then at home to Manchester United on the final day of the season.
CAS are expected to announce their verdict of Manchester City’s two season Champions League ban at 9.30am, if the ban is upheld the team finishing in fifth place in the EPL will qualify for the Champions League.
